What does my body know about death, dying, and impermanence? How can I use that knowledge to help me live and die more peacefully, openly, and joyfully? These are the essential questions of The Dying Practice – a somatic approach to dying and living. Many ask, why do you need to practice something that is inevitable? My answer is that there are many ways to be in relationship to dying, and those ways not only affect my dying, but my living. If we can be at peace with the inevitability of change and loss, we might not only be able to let go more gracefully, but to live more fully, kindly, and compassionately.

The Dying Practice, is done laying or sitting. You will be guided through a series of somatic prompts that reveal the knowledge the body holds about letting go. You will then be prompted with visualizations and internal relationship-ing that help to map out the stages of departure. The depth of the practice is up to you – you can stay more surface or go into the dying deeply. It is appropriate for all who are interested and ready.

PAST OFFERS

April 30th - June 23rd 2021
Finally a lifetime
- an approximation in five stages
Inspired by the Death Cafe and the discussions about dying and death, this small group offer (max. Five participants) offers an extended framework to look at one's own aging, dying, one's own death and the effects on the remaining lifetime. Transience and the loss of what has become loved accompany our human existence. Together we want to talk about it.
"Endlich (e) Lifetime" is a small group offer for people who deal with (the finiteness) of their lifetime. We are allowed to give space to reflections on the time spent and remaining, reflections on the time currently lived and on how to deal with lifetime itself.
